CEL is designed for use by students in grades K–12. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Schools act as the authorized agent collecting student data on behalf of parents. No student data is sold or used for advertising — ever.
Creativity Excellence Learning ("CEL," "we," "us") is an educational technology platform providing a gamified learning experience for K–12 students. CEL is operated by a Florida-based educational technology company. The fictional game world is set on Celoria — a made-up island with no connection to real-world locations or people.
We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the platform:
CEL operates as a "school official" under FERPA with a legitimate educational interest. Student education records are used solely to provide the CEL service to the contracting school. We do not disclose student records to third parties except as required by law.
CEL charges schools on an annual, per-student basis. Pricing depends on each student's grade and how many subjects their class has enabled — not total enrollment size.
Each subject beyond the first is +$1.50/student/year. Kindergarten and 1st grade are always billed at the mini-games rate; 2nd grade is billed at the mini-games rate only if the school keeps that class on the mini-games hub instead of the full city builder.
Payment is invoiced annually via ACH bank transfer. Purchase orders are accepted. The first month is free — we invoice at the end of the pilot period. No refunds after the school year begins unless there is a documented service failure on our part.
Either party may terminate the agreement at the end of a billing period with written notice. Upon termination, schools may request a full data export. All student data is permanently deleted within 90 days of the final billing period.
CEL may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or fail to pay after a 30-day grace period following written notice.
CEL is provided "as is." We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss from events outside our control, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the total amount paid by the school in the 12 months prior to the claim.
